ViacomCBS’s Paramount Plus is a subscription streaming service. It features shows from CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, and The Smithsonian Channel, among others.
There are also new and classic films from Paramount, Miramax, and MGM. The library also includes exclusive Paramount Plus originals that are not available anywhere else.
The service even provides live access to your local CBS network, but only with the Premium package.

Paramount Plus cost: How much are plans?

The monthly cost of Paramount Plus is $4.99 with commercials (opens in new tab) or $9.99 without ads (opens in new tab).
Both levels will have the same variety of on-demand originals and library programming, but the higher tier will have access to local CBS stations. The higher tier choice also includes live CBS TV and more sports. The graphic above summarizes everything.
The premium subscription also allows you to download your shows and view them later.
You can also join up for an annual plan to save 16 percent (opens in new tab), making the basic plan $4.17 per month and the premium plan $8.33 per month.
Recently, Paramount Plus launched a bundle deal that includes Showtime for for $11.99 per month, providing you access to shows like Yellowjackets, Billions, and the reboot Dexter: New Blood.

Can you watch live sports on Paramount Plus?
You can watch live CBS sports on Paramount Plus.
Both the Essential and Premium plans enable live streaming of local NFL games on CBS, as well as some live soccer content such as the UEFA Champions League.

Is there a free trial period for Paramount Plus?
For new users, Paramount Plus provides a seven-day free trial.
T-Mobile customers who qualify can also get a year of the Paramount+ Essential plan for free.

Can you stream Paramount Plus in 4K, Dolby Vision, and HDR?
Select titles from Paramount+ are available in 4K, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.
These formats are only available to Premium plan ($10/month) customers and are not supported by the less expensive Essential plan ($5/month).
Shows that accept these advanced video formats are identified with “badges” on their title pages, while movies that support them are mentioned in their description boxes.
On the following devices, Paramount Plus supports 4K, Dolby Vision, and HDR10 streaming:

On some devices, you can now watch select Paramount Plus titles with enhanced Dolby Atmos sound.

How does Paramount Plus stack up against CBS All Access?
In essence, Paramount+ is a replacement for the now-defunct CBS All Access service. It carried over the same content collection and added a slew of new programs.
Members of CBS All Access who had active subscriptions were automatically transferred to Paramount Plus on March 4, 2021. The CBS All Access app was also automatically moved to Paramount Plus.
What can I watch on Paramount Plus?
Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, MTV, Paramount Pictures, and CBS all have access to classic and original programming through Paramount Plus. Access to your local CBS network is also included in the Premium package.
Current CBS episodes are also added to Paramount+ the day after they air on TV, allowing you to catch up on all of your favorites, like “Survivor,” “NCIS,” and “Ghosts,” without requiring a cable membership.
New movies are also available on the program, including Paramount theatrical releases 30 to 45 days after they hit theaters.
“A Quiet Place II” was the first in-theater film to be released on Paramount Plus, with “Jackass Forever,” “The Lost City,” and “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” following in 2022.
There are also older films and TV shows.
The program debuted with films from well-known properties such as “Indiana Jones” and “Star Trek.”
According to the company, it now boasts a library of over 30,000 episodes and films.
“Halo,” based on the renowned video game franchise, and “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” a prequel set in the “Star Trek” universe, are two popular original shows on Paramount+.
“The Offer,” which tells the true narrative of the making of “The Godfather,” is another outstanding original series.
New originals are also on the way, including two new “Yellowstone” spin-off shows.
“1883: The Bass Reeves Story” will continue the story of “1883,” while “1932,” starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, will examine a new age of the Dutton family.
Originals from CBS All Access, such as “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Star Trek: Picard,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “The Stand,” are still available.
Some cable originals, such as “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars,” have been relocated to Paramount Plus to continue as originals.
When will Paramount Plus arrive where I am?
As of early 2022, the service is available in the United States, Latin America, Canada, Australia, and Nordic countries such as Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
From June 22, Sky will offer Paramount+ in the United Kingdom, with plans to expand to Germany, Italy, and other parts of Europe later this year. It will arrive in France and the Caribbean in late 2022, with an extension throughout Africa and Asia anticipated for 2023.
Paramount Plus free trial in the UK
It’s also been announced that Paramount+ will have a free trial when it launches in the UK, allowing you to try out the service before committing to paying membership. (Alternatively, you could spend seven days watching SpongeBob SquarePants.)
Potential users in the UK can sign up for a free seven-day trial, following which the price for Paramount+ will be £6.99 per month or £69.90 per year. The price for Ireland has yet to be determined.
You can’t pre-order the service in the UK or Ireland right now, but you will be able to sign up on June 22. While you wait, you may sign up for the streamer’s newsletter, which is already teasing the variety of programs you can expect in exchange for your money.
Customers in the United Kingdom will be able to watch Paramount+ online, on their mobile devices, or on “a wide range of connected TV devices via the Paramount+ app.”
Paramount+ will also be available on Apple, Amazon, Google, Roku, and Samsung platforms, with more “to be revealed in the coming months.”
Paramount Plus on Sky in the UK
Paramount has confirmed that Sky Cinema subscribers in the UK will be able to access Paramount+ “at no extra cost.” This year, the service will also be available on Sky in the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as Italy, Germany, and Austria, as part of “a new multi-year distribution arrangement that also includes the extended coverage of Paramount’s leading array of pay TV channels.”
Paramount Plus free trial in the US

An Essential + Showtime plan, which includes original programming, movies, and sports, costs $11.99 per month or $119.99 per year.

Unlike many recent streaming services, Paramount+ launched simultaneously everywhere.

Is Paramount Plus available for free on Amazon?
Yes, a free seven-day trial of Paramount+ is available through your Amazon Prime membership. The content is available directly via the Amazon Prime Video app. Unless you cancel the subscription before the trial period finishes, your Amazon account will be charged automatically.
What exactly is the distinction between Paramount and Paramount+?
The terms Paramount Plus and Paramount Network are not interchangeable. The original streaming service CBS All Access is now known as Paramount+, while Paramount Network (previously Spike TV) is a cable/satellite TV channel. ViacomCBS owns both of them.
Why am I unable to find Paramount Plus on my television?
