Born in 1937, Cathie Jung is an American corset and dressmaker, who earned the Guinness-World-Record as “The person with the smallest waist to ever live”. Cathie is 5ft 6 tall and has a 15-inch waist (38.1cm).
Cathie’s small waist was the result of her endless wearing a corset. According to her she first wore a corset on her wedding day in 1959 and has been wearing it ever since.
At 28 years of age, Cathie’s waist size was 16 inches [64 cm]. Cathie, a mother of 3, is now over 70 years old and weighed about 43kg, and still holds the record for “The woman with the smallest waist”.
