Quordle is a little more scary variation of Wordle.
Every day, Wordle provides gamers six chances to guess a five-letter word.
However, in it, you must predict four different terms in nine attempts.
When you enter your guess, it is inserted into each board, so you are guessing all four words at once.
The display is the same as in Wordle: a green square indicates that the correct letter is in the correct location, and a yellow square indicates that the correct letter is in the wrong position.
A grey square indicates that the letter does not appear in the response at all.
It was founded in January and today boasts over 500,000 daily users.
What is Quordle?
It is a new word game based on the viral Wordle concept – but with a twist.
Instead of guessing one five-letter word, you must guess four words at the same time in it.
You get nine attempts to solve all four five-letter words, with each guess appearing in all four fields – so pick your starting word wisely.
After attempting to solve the daily challenge, it has left players unsatisfied.
Quiz fans flocked to Twitter to share their scores, with one person writing: “You want to know who’s bad? Solve FOUR word puzzles at once.
Another person stated: “I just tried it, and it fried my brain…
I’m never doing that again.”
Quordle Settings
Turning on and altering some of its default settings can improve your experience greatly.
Especially since you’ll be spending more time solving four daily words rather than one, your time spent in this progressive app will be longer than you’re used to with Wordle.
We’ll walk you through the various options available to you below.
- Open the Quordle app and select the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.
- Tap Settings to open the settings menu; from here, you’ll see a list of features that you may toggle on and off with a slider.
- Once you’ve chosen your selections, hit the “X” (upper right corner) to quit your preferences.
When you enable Dark Mode, your background and text colors will be inverted; the backdrop will be darker while the text will be lighter (white).
The colorblind mode changes the text colors by highlighting the right letters orange and poorly placed correct characters blue.
When you enable Vibration, you will hear faint sounds while playing.
If you need to play in silence, we recommend turning this off.
The switch keys option flips your keyboard layout so that your backspace and shift keys are in different positions; alter this option to match your desired layout.
Achievement alerts appear only if this option is enabled; we encourage using it so you can be reminded of your achievements while playing!
Keyboard height has a slider, and sliding to the right makes your keys taller while sliding to the left makes your keys smaller.
Adjustments should be made based on how your fingers fit on the keyboard.
The final option modifies your game size, with only two options to pick from: “Fit Screen” and “Always Square Tiles.”
When you select “Always Square Tiles,” you must navigate through your word lists, but “Fit Screen” instantly fits the four puzzle quadrants without scrolling.
How Can I Play Quordle?
Eliminating letters is especially crucial in it.
Your first few choices should all be different letters to give you the highest chance of winning.
Once you have one proper word, letters will no longer be entered into that board, allowing you to concentrate on the others.
To win, you must have at least four guesses left at the end to enter each accurate answer.
It also offers a practice mode, which allows you to familiarize yourself with the game before undertaking the daily challenge.
Tips to get started
- Play through Practice mode regularly.
Unlike Wordle, you have access to a Practice mode where you can play as many times as you like.
Practicing allows you to locate the ideal starting words while becoming acquainted with the structure and can alleviate boredom after completing the daily puzzle.
- Stick to your initial words.
Your first three guesses should be your starting words; because Quordle takes an empirical approach to solving its word puzzles, you’ll need to optimize the knowledge gathered by selecting the best starting words.
Starting words should include all vowels and common consonants while avoiding letter overlapping.
- Using quadrants to solve a single word at a time.
Choose a sector with a lot of green and yellow letters and focus on piecing the solution together.
Solving one word should lead to more clues in your other areas.
How to Install Quordle on your Android device

- Tap on the three vertical dots to the right of the address bar to open the overflow menu.
- Select Install app > Install.
- The Quordle app has now been added to your home screen; tap to open it.
What Else Should I Know About Quordle?
It is one of many Wordle clones that have emerged in the aftermath of Wordle’s enormous success.
It’s essentially the same game, but you play four different versions of it at the same time and get nine chances to guess all of the answers.
The letters operate similarly to Wordle, becoming green if they’re in the correct spot, yellow if they’re in the wrong place, and gray if they’re not in the answer at all.
A pleasant bonus is that, while there is only one problem per day, there is also a practice mode. And you might need it because it’s challenging.
If Quordle is too difficult for you, you could choose one of our finest Wordle alternatives, but if you want an even more intense exam, we recommend Squabble or Octordle.
We also appreciate the new Heardle, which is similar to Wordle but for pop music, as well as the Wordle clone Worldle, the Star Wars-themed SWordle, and the math-based Mathler.
However, the original is still the best, so don’t forget to check out our finest Wordle start words and today’s Wordle answer if you won’t be able to play.
How to Share Your Results
- After completing it, you can post your results online. Share, Share Picture (Twitter), Download (to save an image), or Copy to Clipboard are all options.
- Your findings are displayed spoiler-free regardless of which option you select, so have fun.
Note: When you download a photograph, it will automatically time stamp the date – useful for organizing your gallery.
Quordle vs Wordle
Quordle is simply a fourfold increase in the difficulty of Wordle. Quordle was created by a group of Wordle aficionados who wanted to put their spin on the original game.
Quordle is not officially associated with Wordle, nor do the two sites share any links.
Another major advantage of Quordle over Wordle is the availability of an infinite number of games.
The practice games on Quordle provide more opportunities for gamers to try their luck.
As a result, the game becomes addictive.
Quordle’s Future
Quordle has a lot of replayability and just the appropriate difficulty spike for those searching for a challenging take on Wordle.
There are currently no plans for commercialization, however, you can support the artists by donating.
If you still want more word puzzles, there’s a wonderful selection of word games on Android just waiting to be played.

Is it harder than Wordle?
That is an additional issue. Because the number of occurrences is more than four times, you should have a higher success rate for your predictions. Even with only nine guesses, it’s still difficult. You must choose the proper word for each of your remaining four turns after five guesses.
Perfect practice makes perfect.
If Quordle isn’t doing enough to foster your habit, it has a practice mode. The original Wordle was famed for its everyday puzzle approach, which was a terrific method to sell through word of mouth—but not so ideal for true game addicts.
Quordle still includes ‘word of the day,’ but it also offers a practice mode: an unending loop of random phrases that allows you to drill at your leisure.
Are there any Easy Steps to Success?
First, aim to acquire early coverage of the letters.
You’ll see a lot more letters than in a standard Wordle round.
To cover 15 distinct letters, I like to use two or three different fonts at first.
All vowels, y, and the nine most common consonants are included: T, N, S, H, R, D, L, C, and M.
You now have two more guesses because you must predict each word in a single turn.
You should be looking for obvious words at this time.
If there’s a strong competitor, it’s worth predicting.
The faster you predict a word, the more quickly you can filter down the remaining words.
Your hypothesis could lead to important knowledge elsewhere.
Remember that a letter can appear multiple times!
Don’t dismiss a letter just because it has a yellow or green score.
If you can’t view all four panels without scrolling on the desktop version, consider lowering the font size.
It is useful because it features a practice mode where you may learn how to play before taking on the daily challenge.
Today’s Quordle answers, game #186, Friday, July 29
So, what are the solutions to today’s Quordle for game #186?
I won’t keep you waiting any longer; here it is:
- SLUSH
- YIELD
- REVUE
- REPEL
The daily Quordle answers for game #186 are a difficult choice.
There are several repeated letters, including S in SLUSH, E in REPEL and REVUE, and a Y at the beginning of YIELD, which is unusual.
Meanwhile, V is an unusual letter in the game as a whole.
Quordle, on the other hand, is never easy, therefore you’ll need a smart plan to help you solve it.
My strategy begins by playing three prepared words to delete or confirm as many common letters as feasible.
I always start with one of the top Wordle start words, in my case STARE, and then move on to DOILY and PUNCH.
That normally gives me a nice head start on the daily Quordle solutions, and today was no exception: I had all five letters in green or yellow for one puzzle, four for the next two, and three for the final one.
YIELD, in the upper right corner, was a potentially challenging one that was made considerably easy by the fact that I already had all five letters.
Similarly, SLUSH, in the upper left corner, where I already had S—-H with L and U to play.
The other two were more difficult.
I had four yellows in the bottom right corner: P, L, R, and E.
There were other options here, but I decided ER was the most likely outcome and chose LEPER.
While this was incorrect, it effectively solved the word for the following turn, as the -EPE- bits turned green, indicating that it had to be REPEL.
That gave me greens in the format RE—E, and with a yellow U to play that could now only go in position #4, I found REVUE and finished the daily Quordle with one guess left.
Hopefully, you all figured it out as well.
What is daily Quordle?
It is a considerably more difficult variant of the popular word puzzle game Wordle, in which you must predict four words instead of one daily. If you want to test your vocabulary to the limit, this is the game for you.
How is Quordle different from Wordle?
Quordle is a Wordle spin-off created by a group of Wordle lovers.
Quordle is not affiliated with Wordle, nor are the two websites officially linked.
Its popularity is growing because it provides a more difficult version of the popular word puzzle.
Quordle also provides an infinite number of games, so you can always try again if you get stuck.
You also get additional guesses – instead of Wordle’s six efforts, you have nine chances to get the four words properly, allowing you more room for error.
However, Wordle’s popularity remains unrivaled.
Josh Wardle, a Welsh-born software programmer, created the word game, which now has more than 3 million participants worldwide.
During the lockdown, the former Reddit employee designed the game for himself and his wife.

Quordle Strategy?
Words with Repeating Letters should be saved until last.
If you feel a Quordle word may have repeat letters, try to save it until last.
This is identical to any word with a large number of green or yellow letters.
It’s not ideal to keep playing the same letters in it.
Where to Play Quordle
It is a free online game that can be found at Quordle.com.

FAQs
What is a good Quordle score?
A score of three is much above average and is nothing to be ashamed of. Getting it in three is good, especially with difficult words like “cynic,” “vivid,” or “swill.” Three require skill, finesse, and intelligence. Only real Wordlers will be able to maintain their three-and under streak.
What is the best strategy for Quordle?
The best approach is to get as much information as possible in the first few attempts, and then narrow it down to the actual words later.
The puzzle changes daily, and you may browse and share your results in the same way as Wordle does.
What’s a good Quordle win percentage?
Even among the carefully selected terms examined here, we discover that some are significantly superior to others.
Some starter/seed words can answer a common Wordle within 4 rounds more than 80% of the time, compared to only 60% of the time for other seeds.
How do you do Quordle?
You must predict four 5-letter words, and you have nine attempts to do so.
Each letter in the words you guess counts toward all four-word puzzles. The best approach is to get as much information as possible in the first few attempts, and then narrow it down to the actual words later.
