Aside from losing the money spent on the smartphone, you would also lose precious (and irreplaceable) records, contacts, message history, and memories captured in images, videos, and other multimedia formats.

Google’s “Find My Mobile” service works well and doesn’t require you to have any apps pre-installed on your device to monitor it. The Google “Find My Device” service is an official and simple tracking tool for locating and recovering a lost or stolen phone or tablet.

The (Android) phone must be turned on (or online), linked to your Google account, and connected to the internet in order to be tracked successfully.

If you’ve checked all three boxes, you’re halfway to recovering your system. The Google Find My Device app will monitor phones, tablets, and even smartphones if they meet the requirements.

Alternatively, you can use the Google search engine to activate the Find My Device service by typing in the term “Google Find My Device.”

2. Log in with the same Google account that was used on the missing user. Login with the credentials of abc@gmail.com if abc@gmail.com was active on the missing computer, for example.

3. After logging in successfully, you’ll see a dashboard identical to the one below.

You can monitor as many devices as are linked to your Google account on the dashboard, as long as they are online and connected to the internet.

4. Choose the computer you want to monitor and the operation you want to perform on it.

Addendum: You can remotely perform the following actions on a lost computer using Google’s Find My Device:

– Ring the device: even if the phone is set to silent, play sound on the device for as long as you want.

– Secure Device: use a new security code to remotely lock the phone and display a recovery message on the device’s screen.

– Erase device: If the information on the missing device is extremely sensitive, you can uninstall anything on the device with a single click.

You should be aware, however, that if you delete the device’s data remotely, you will no longer be able to monitor it.

The phone model, the last time it was online, and the battery percentage will all be displayed on the Google Find My Device dashboard.

You can also pinpoint the exact location where your computer is being used and locations where it has been before the monitoring date using the embedded maps and satellite.

Google’s Find My Mobile service is a very useful and simple way to monitor your device. Although the Google Play Store has a Find My Device app, you do not need to have it installed on your device in order to locate it if it goes missing. It’s also a good substitute for some of the best Android tracking and monitoring applications available.

Google’s Find My Device service can only be used to locate and recover Android phones, laptops, and smartphones at the moment. If you have an iOS device, Apple’s Find My iPhone service functions similarly to Google’s Find My Device.
