How to Restore Two-Step Login Accounts In the Duo Mobile App for Android on a New Device
Duo Mobile allows backing your Two-Step Login accounts on Android or iOS device and recovers the accounts on a new device.
If you’re using the Duo Mobile app (version 3.17 or later) with an Android or iOS device, you can make use of the Duo Restore feature to format your accounts on a new device.
Please Note:
Using Duo Restore requires you to complete a Duo login, either with a text, or a call to a phone number that has already been registered for Two-Step Login or a device enrolled for Two-Step Login.
Enable Duo Restore on a current Android device
In Android, you will see a notification urging you to enable backup on your device.
Ensure you are running the latest version of the Duo Mobile app on your current Android device.
Open the Duo Mobile app.
Click ENABLE NOW in the notification.
Optional: If you demobilize the “New Feature Available” notification, then click the overflow menu in the top right corner of the main accounts list.
After that, click Settings, and then Duo Restore.
Activate Duo Restore. You will then be urged to choose a Google account to store your backup on and to grant Duo Mobile authorization.
