In my last article, I explained all you need to know about eNaira, but now I will be writing on how to download the eNaira Speed Wallet app and how to register.
The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, recently announced eNaira as its new digital currency.
It is widely known in the country and is utilized for business transactions.

What is the eNaira Wallet?
The eNaira wallet is a digital wallet that stores the eNaira currency.
A distributed ledger is used to store and manage it. To access, retain, and use eNaira, you’ll need an eNaira wallet.
eNaira Speed Wallet App Download
Just days after its launch on Monday, October 25th, 2021, the eNaira Speed Wallet application has disappeared from the Google Play Store.
This comes after Nairametrics learned from reports that the eNaira program had over 200,000 downloads in just 24 hours, indicating widespread interest in the Central Bank’s digital currency.
Simple research on the Google Play store reveals that the eNaira Speed Wallet application is not available because it needed an upgrade.
The eNaira Speed Merchant wallet application, on the other hand, is still available for IOS interested users to download.
How to Download eNaira Speed Wallet
The eNaira Speed Wallet application is available in the Google Play Store for Android smartphones and the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
Users using optional handsets can also dial a USSD short code and follow the on-screen instructions.
Simply type eNaira Speed wallet into the GooglePlay or AppleStore search field and tap the search icon.
When the result is available, click install to have it downloaded to your device automatically.
eNaira Wallet Login
Once the application has been downloaded and installed on your device, open it right away to register.
- You will be asked to authenticate your identification after downloading the application by inputting your password or using your Face ID or Touch ID.
- Enter the invitation code that was sent to you by the bank.
- Authenticate yourself by inputting the following details:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Place of Birth
- Date of Birth
- State of Origin
- Email address
- Enter your minimum identification details i.e., NIN, BVN, or KYC or AML Information, though this is depending on the customer tier you are.
- Phone Number
- Passport Photograph
- and Password
- Your financial firm sends you a notification.
You can now use the Online and Mobile Banking channels to fund your eNaira Speed Wallet and begin to receive, send, and manage your virtual money.
Download eNaira Wallet- Google Play Store
- Go over to the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Type eNaira Speed Wallet into the search bar, then tap Install to download the application to your device.
- Launch the e-Naira Speed Wallet after it has been downloaded successfully.
- To begin the onboarding process, click “Signup.”
- Choose an e-Naira Partner or a Relationship Bank.
- Setup a password and provide your phone number.
- Input your first and last names, as well as your date of birth, state of origin, bank account number, and BVN.
- A wallet activation email will be sent to the email address associated with your BVN if the above details are successfully confirmed.
- Confirm that the email has been received by going to the provided email.
- To validate your email and activate your fast e-Naira Wallet, hit “Active Wallet.”
- To access the eNaira Speed Wallet, enter your surname and password.
eNaira Wallet Registration- AppleStore (iPhone Users)
You must check in with your Apple ID or create one to install apps.
- Visit your local Apple Store.
- Insert eNaira Speed Wallet in the search bar.
- When the app pops up, tap it. Then tap GET, then INSTALL.
- Once it has been successfully downloaded, navigate to your home screen and hit the App store. If the e-Naira Speed Wallet app isn’t displayed on your home screen, toggle left to access the App Library
- Launch the e-Naira Speed Wallet.
- To begin the onboarding process, click “Signup.”
- Choose an e-Naira partner or a relationship Bank.
- Setup a password and input your phone number.
- Enter the following:
- First name
- Surname
- Date of birth
- State of Origin
- Your account number associated to your Bank, and BVN.
- A wallet activation email will be sent to the email address associated with your BVN if the above details are successfully confirmed.
- Confirm that the email has been received by going to the provided email.
- To validate your email and activate your fast e-Naira Wallet, hit “Active Wallet.”
- To access the eNaira Speed Wallet, enter your surname and password.
eNaira Wallet Registration- For Business
Go to your Apple Store or Google Play Store app.
Input eNaira Speed Merchant Wallet in the search bar.
To install the app on your smartphone, click Install.
Launch the e-Naira Speed Merchant Wallet after it has been downloaded successfully.
Enter and validate the bank’s invitation code.
Input the bare minimum of identification information (full KYC as required by the CBN’s AML/CFT Regulations)
Fill in your TIN (Tax Identification Number).
After you’ve validated your TIN, fill in the rest of your information like your email address, password, Business Category, Legal Business Name).
Notification will be sent to the merchant and financial institution.
To validate your email and activate your eNaira Speed Merchant Wallet, tap “Active Wallet.”
eNaira Wallet Registration- For MDA
Go to your Apple Store or Google Play Store app.
Input eNaira Speed Merchant Wallet in the search bar.
To download the app on your smartphone, click Install.
Launch the e-Naira Speed Merchant Wallet after it has been downloaded successfully.
Use the MD code to log in.
Enter your TSA or T24 account information.
CBN verifies and informs MDA.
MDA then proceeded to top up the account.
To validate your email and activate your eNaira Speed Merchant Wallet, hit “Active Wallet.”
