How to Set Up Your Comcast Email Address with an Email Program
Are you ready to start utilizing your Comcast email? No worries. Our web-based Xfinity Connect page is pre-configured and ready for usage. However, if you prefer to use an email application, these settings will get you up and running in no time!
Please keep in mind that
- We do not support the use of port 25 for email transmission. This may affect your ability to send email if you use an older email program (Outlook Express, Outlook, Mac Mail, etc.).

- Using third-party email clients to access your Comcast.net email may expose your Xfinity ID and password to fraud and other hazards.
We recommend that you access your Comcast email by going to Xfinity Connect and choosing Email.
- When sending messages, you must have an Xfinity ID and password. If you receive an error while sending an email, please verify your settings by following the guidelines below for your individual program type.
Email Set up
First, you must grant access to third-party applications in Xfinity Connect, otherwise you will see an error warning when attempting to set up your Comcast email.

How to Check Comcast Email

Click the “Tools” menu in Windows Mail, then “Account,” “Add,” “Email Account,” and “Next.” Enter your name in the “Display Name” section, then click “Next,” followed by your Comcast email address. - Create messages that are appealing. This is a key method of engaging users. And, as we discussed in a recent overview post on email deliverability, interaction is critical.
- Don’t overburden the market with email. Comcast, for example, allows 25 simultaneous connections per transmitting IP address and 100 recipients per message on their list of what you need to know to prevent being prohibited.
